Ps. Paul Durham

Be Ready For The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words.

In this passage, we will be caught up in the air, the original word is Rapture. Caught up to be with the Lord

As Christians, we’ll wait for Christ’s coming to this earth. After that, there will be the antichrist, and he will bring seven years of great tribulation on the earth.

The first half will be peace because the antichrist will deceive people. But in the second half, everyone must follow him or die

And after that, Christ will return, but there will be a difference between His second coming and the coming of Jesus with the carriage of fire.

At the rapture, Jesus will come for His bride, but the second coming will come for judgment. And after that will be judgment, those who are not written in the book will be thrown into the lake of fire, and then the New Jerusalem, where we will live with Jesus forever.

We have seen what happened in our country, Jerusalem, and political situation, technology, all of this is preparing for great tribulation.

So what will we do when we meet Jesus?

James 5:7-11

7 Therefore, be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!

10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.

11 Indeed, we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord–that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

First thing, we must be patient, to bear with a long time. But we can interpret this that we must not just sit and do nothing, but while we patiently wait for Jesus to come, we must also work the work of Jesus.

We must keep on working to pick the seed and reap the harvest. As we patiently wait for Jesus, we are planting the word of God to many people, we must work the work of the Father who sent me. We are waiting for Christ, we are also serving people and serving each other, doing business of our Father, there’s a lost world out there that needs Jesus, we long to encourage and love each other, because we have work to do, the holy spirit is with us, Christ is with us
