What should make us most joyful?
Luke 10:20
Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Why do I rejoice? Because my name is written in the Kingdom of Heaven.
This is what we must have now, otherwise our faith has failed, if I believe that Jesus has redeemed me, provided a home for me, then this should be our faith. The Lord Jesus will take me to his house, that is my faith.
So my faith is that I am redeemed by the Lord Jesus, my name is registered in Heaven and I will go there, this world is not my home, I’m just a passing through.
Do not shift from the faith at the beginning when you heard the Gospel, namely that Jesus moved me from darkness to light. Outside of that, our faith fails. My identity will be seen there. Our way of walking will be different because I know what the purpose of my life is, which is not this world, whether rich or poor, is up to God.
If your name is registered in Heaven, I am only here temporarily, I love Jesus and Jesus loves me then life I will be different, fighting sin is also easier. Sin will peek but the power of faith is greater.
