Cheerleading competition to boost enthusiasm for the 17th August traditional competition

The GPPI Pondok Daud Congregation’s celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was a joyous occasion held on August 17, 2024, at the MMCC Sawangan Field in Depok, West Java. The event brought together both children and adults in a series of traditional Independence Day competitions, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and joy.

The celebration kicked off with each group performing spirited cheers, setting a lively tone for the day. Participants eagerly engaged in various competitions, including the classic cracker-eating contest, the amusing challenge of carrying eels, and vibrant dances representing the diverse cultures across the Indonesian archipelago. The dancers proudly showcased Indonesia’s rich cultural diversity, adding to the day’s festive spirit.

The competitions were filled with happiness, with both winners and participants sharing in the fun. Alongside the games, the congregation members shared snacks they had brought, fostering a strong sense of community and brotherhood.
