With hearts that are overflowing with joy and gratitude, all gathered together in a special event of the holy matrimony of  Rev. Ezra Judah Nugroho and Betania Julita Mangkey on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Both of them are devoted servants of God in GPPI Pondok Daud.

The whole ceremony was filled and colored with great joy as teenagers along with the bride and groom entered the room with dancing and singing the song Havenu Shalom Aleichem.  Their joyful dance led all the congregations to dance joyfully.

Rev. Yohanes Nugroho, shared God’s Word about the parable of the Vine and the branches, reminding us that the most important aspect of a family is abiding in Jesus. Like branches finding strength and sustenance in the vine, the foundation of the family is rooted in our connection only with Jesus.

In the beautiful presence of God,  before the priests, and the beloved congregation, Rev. Ezra Judah and Betania stood before the altar and declared their marriage vows. These marriage vows express their sincere love and commitment to each other to become one,  an example of the sweet and close union between Jesus Christ and His followers. A commitment to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 

The holy matrimony was a church confirmation that Rev. Ezra and Bethany were united by God’s grace, and their union was to be cherished and last their whole life. Nothing should separate what God has joined together.

All the congregation surrounds them with love, support, and prayers. May their journey together be filled with the blessings of Jesus Christ.
