Praise God, on Saturday, August 11th, 2018, many young people had come from various areas of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi to gather at Cattleya Park, Kemanggisan, West Jakarta. They had come for an event conducted by ZAT or Zona Anak Tuhan (God’s Children Zone), a group under PMPPKN (Indonesian Christian Students and Youth Fellowship).

The event started at 8.30 AM. Worship leaders greeted the congregations. The opening prayer was led by ZAT committee. After that, they were asked to shout PMPPKN yell.

They were praising the Lord so joyfully and looked so excited. They were asked to gather with different colors of their clothes to make them get to know each other. Later on, the committee introduced the profile of ZAT.

Rev. Hezel E. J. Sumbayak delivered the Word God from Romans 5:8 (KJV) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

This is the good news. God loves us. He wanted to die for us. We have to know the One Who loves us. Who is Jesus for us? Jesus is God. He is a great God who created everything. Take a look at all around us, the trees, flowers, grass, etc. God is so awesome who created us, the sea, and everything. He died and sacrificed for us.

God is willing to die for us. God died for us as we were sinful. He surrendered His life for us. He died for us 2,000 years ago. He came to earth and gave His life on the cross. Before we repented, He had died for us, because He loves us so much. Jesus falls in love with us. There is Someone who always cares for us.

What does God want from us? God is pleased if we go to church meetings . But He wants us to have a close relationship with Him. Would you like to open your hearts to Jesus?

Revelation 3:20. (KJV) “Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”

Jesus stands in front of the door and knocks on it. Jesus told this verse to us. Even though we are Christians, does Jesus really live in our hearts? Or He just lives outside us? Jesus wants to be our best friend. If we want joy, let us open our hearts to Jesus. From His Word, God speaks to us.

After hearing God’s Word, they were asked to worship and pray to God, meditating and asking whether Jesus really live in their hearts.

The servant of God gave an altar call for everyone who wanted to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They were requested to raise their hands. Praise God, all of them received Jesus and followed the prayer.

What is God’s plan for us? It is stated in Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. God has a plan for all of us. Before we know, God already knows about His plan for us. God has a plan for each one of us before we were born. “

Whoever we are, whatever our background we have, we are precious to God as He has specific plans for us. If we are here now, it is not coincidental. God has an extraordinary calling for us. God’s calling is not limited. It is to serve the Lord. Look at His calling since it is very precious. If we bring the lost to God, it means that we give a great gift that is the salvation and give them the eternal life.

God has a plan for us to be His servant, we will be fulfilled with His power. If we have the calling, we must walk in it.

1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV) “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

For we are young, so we serve the Lord. God wants to use us. We have the impact, to bring others to God. If we have repented, come to God and receive God’s calling.

God has a wonderful plan for us, whether we will take it or not. God can change us, although we have weaknesses.

They were requested to raise up their hands to receive the Jesus’ calling. Almost all of them raised up the hands and stood up showing that they wanted to serve the Lord.

Afterward,  they were divided into groups based on the colors of their clothes which they were wearing. The shared again about the Word led by mentors, were about 15 groups. Finally, in groups,  they played games together. So fun and happy playing games, building togetherness in each group.

Glory to God who has assembled Young and Adult in His plan!
